Worker in Dusky Tea Factory, India (PHOTO)

Worker in tea factory Vagamon, Kerala, India

This photo was taken at a traditional tea factory in the green hills of Vagamon, Kerala. We had the privilege of watching leaves, just picked from the plantation, being shredded, pressed, steamed, cleaned and smoked into sweet-smelling black tea. This particular factory uses, what is considered by modern standards, to be an outdated process of producing the tea, so the dusky factory had a romantically archaic feel about it.
