Why People Don’t Buy What You Do — They Buy Why You Do It

Simon Sinek, an author, marketing consultant and motivational speaker best known for developing “The Golden Circle” and popularizing a concept of human motivation (Wikipedia), reveals in this TEDTalks video the psychology behind inspiring the masses to buy, and better yet, believe in your brand. His lecture addresses the “tipping point” phenomenon and how people like Martin Luther King and the Wright brothers, and how companies such as Apple were able to sell an idea that not only inspired people, but made them passionate about being a part of something great.

The video, entitled: “How Great Leaders Inspire Action,” is full of insightful concepts that any company — startup, or mogul — should be aware of in order to effectively market their product or brand to a targeted audience, and more importantly, keep their audience around for the long haul.
