Countries Spending More Than Americans on Eating, Drinking and Smoking

From the frequent reports on obesity in America, one might assume that our love for eating, smoking and drinking is unparalleled. But statistics show that there are 18 other countries that spend much more than Americans on food, alcohol and tobacco. Interestingly enough, every country has its weak spot like the Italians and their pizza, the Canadians and their baked good and the Kiwis and their love for North American cuisine (strange but true — Australia’s is even weirder).

This infographic points out which countries are spending the most on consumable hedonism and which ones are just a tad bit more frugal than the infamous U.S.
