Ever wonder how macarons get so perfectly crisp on the outside and so melt-in-your-mouth soft on the inside? To share the secret to crafting the perfect mac’, pastry chef and macaron mastermind behind Dana’s Bakery, Dana Loia is teaching a 2.5 hour class that includes a hands-on session of baking 36 macarons and a brief lesson on the history behind the delicate sweet. The price for the group classes is $110 per person for an eight to ten person class. Tickets for your desired session can be purchased on the website, while private sessions can be booked by calling 800-477-1816 or emailing info@danasbakery.com.
ABOUT DANA’S BAKERY:
A former photo editor-turned-pastry chef, Dana Loia fell in love with the delicate French macaron for its whimsical beauty and distinct texture, but was surprised by the lack of variety in flavors. On a mission to revolutionize the dessert, she started Dana’s Bakery, infusing French techniques with all-American flavors for an artisanal line of macarons designed to please the palate with a comforting sense of nostalgia. With inventive flavors such as Birthday Cake, Cookie Dough, and Peanut Butter & Jelly, Dana’s Bakery’s gluten-free delights are far from your ordinary macaron.
