*We are always looking for great travel narratives. Manuscripts should be well-written, informative, and give the reader a strong sense of place. Feature stories should be in the range of 800-1,200 words, but we are willing to bend on word count if the piece is exceptional.

Compensation is $25 per article. We will include the author’s bio and a link to his/her website (our stories have been picked up by National Geographic, AFAR, GOOD and Gothamist, and are regularly syndicated on AOL, Business Insider, Google Field Trip and The Huffington Post). We acquire first rights; all rights revert to the author three months following publication. We reserve the right to syndicate any story on Culture-ist’s column on The Huffington Post, or any other publications we are working with.
