Get Cultured On The Go: The Culture-ist Partners with Google’s Field Trip

Field Trip

We are excited to announce that we’ve partnered with Google in providing content for Field Trip, a new innovative location-discovery app, which launched on iOS today. Recently, Niantic Labs at Google chose to add The Culture-ist to its Field Trip app as the first “user suggested” site to be included as a content partner among an impressive lineup of sites such as Time Out, Zagat, Spotted By Locals, Atlas Obscura, Cool Hunting and Eater.

Field Trip runs in the background on your smartphone and notifies you when you’re near cool restaurants, bars, shops, historical sites, museums, galleries and hotels.  In addition to the notification feature, the app can also act as a local tour guide with full audio capability, so you can simply listen as the app provides a guide to the locales you’re discovering.

Users can find The Culture-ist’s content on Field Trip in the Lifestyle Section. So the next time you come across one of the locations we’ve covered, you’ll receive a notification that you’ve discovered a place worth checking out .

You can download the app for both iOS and Andriod below:
