This past year, members of Wine Enthusiast Magazine’s tasting panel reviewed more than 15,500 wines from around the world. From this lengthy list, the best wines of 2012 were chosen. Among the criteria considered for this honor were quality-to-price ratio, drinkability, availability, and uniqueness.The publication also put together three distinct guides that explore the “Top 100 Best Buys” (wines for $15 or less), “The Top 100 Cellar Selections” (age-worthy, highly-rated collectibles), and of course, The Top 100 (Wine Enthusiast’s Top 100 Wines of 2012.)
