This year’s “Hawaii: Islands of Aloha” theme will bring exotic flora exhibits and a mélange of insightful demonstrations, lectures and fabulous evening outings.
Over the next seven days, you can enter to win a pair of tickets to the show, which will take place from March 4-11 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

We went to the Marti Gras show a few years ago. I think it was one of the most colorful shows I had attened. However Im looking forward to see the beautiful colorful exhibits that they have to offer this year.

The Flower Show lets me “go on vacation” every year! The flowers, the displays, the fragrances, the colors…the most beautiful day I have all year! Thank you all for your hard work and love of this Show.
I would love to go to the flower show because I went last year and loved the show! This year, I would love to go again and take my friend along with me, especially since we go to Drexel and are so close to the Convention Center! It is the peace and tranquility that the Philadelphia Flower Show gives to me. I have been going since I was in high school. I remember back when I would volunteer my time and sing at the flower show. I went to
St Maria Goretti and this was a highlight ,being in the choir.
I love the flower show. Its like a breath of fresh air for the heart, mind, and soul. Living and growing art work that puts a smile on everyone’s face no matter who. Unfortunately, I can’t afford to buy tickets this year. Its a shame because it’s better than a massage for all the stress (taking 17 credits this semester).
I have only enjoyed the Flower Show one time. Would love the opportunity to do it again.

Having lived in Hawaii for five years I miss the sights and scents from the Islands. Having never been to the Flower Show I am really looking forward to spending a day there taking in all that I have been missing in my home away from home.

The awe inspiring displays and the truly amazing talent seen at the show make the day one we long for all year. My daughter and I spend this day together, and we would love to bring an elderly couple we are close with, who share in our passion for flowers. They are to old to drive there and on a small fixed income. They love gardening so much and we would love the chance to share this with them.

I’ve never been to the Show and my BFF Tina and I had so much fun at the sumptuous Longwood Gardens Orchid Show last March that we promised ourselves we would attend the Philly Flower Show this year! And the theme is Hawaii! Orchids, Hula dancers, sunshine, what could top that?

Eight years ago, a wonderful man and I started dating at the Philly Flower Show. Last year, Jason got down on his knee and proposed to me in the middle of one of the Flower Show exhibits, and made me the happiest woman in the world. We always come back to the Flower Show for our anniversary, and this year we’ll be traveling up from Virginia to see the exhibit.
My husband and I went to Hawaii on our honeymoon it would be great to see all the flowers we saw when we were there and not have to fly for 10 hours. We love looking at all the different flowers and I like to see if my husband knows the names of them (he went to school for landscaping)

I just completed my floral design certificate at a community college and would love the opportunity for my sister and I to attend! Hawaii is especially important because our neighbors were from Hawaii when I was growing up here in Maryland.

I would really love to give win and give the tickets to my grandma so she could go see the show. She loves plants and gardening in her yard but her it was destroyed in the process of fixing her house after a flood in our area, so she might not get the opprotunity to plant all her beautiful flowers. She’s had a tough year and I think this trip could let her enjoy flowers she won’t have at home and brighten her spirits!
Last Year I flew all the way from Oregon for the Flower Show. Due to conditions beyond my control I was unable to attend. Also my birthday is March 11, I will be 35. In addition I am preparing to move to Hawaii so the theme is near and dear to my heart. If I win some tickets, it would be an answer to many prayers.

My wife, after gasping when she saw this chance, left her computer open. Our fourth anniversary just passed and we didn’t have money to celebrate it. I’ve been coming to the Philadelphia Flower show since the 80s when it was held at the civic center….every year I meet up with my 2 best friends and we all have a grand time taking pictures and voting for our favorite exhibit…and having dinner together before heading back to our families. there are times when we’ve gone out in the snow to attend.

I would love nothing more than to take my mother to the flower show this year specifically. My mother (and stepdad) were married in Hawaii on a beautiful beach with many native Hawaiian flowers around them. My mother is a flower nut and this year’s theme has her especially excited for obvious reasons. I also want to treat her as a way of saying “way to go” because this time last year my mom was battling breast cancer. She is now cancer free and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate!
I have been attending the flower show almost every year since I was 10 years old (I’m now 30)….My mother started taking me, because she owned her own floral design business her in NJ. I have always treasured the memories of going with her and then even attending with friends from high school and then my now husband and we would like to continue the tradition and bring my 2 1/2 year old son this year. I would love to start exposing him to the beauty that so many children are missing out on because they are lost in a world of technology and video games…

My mother and I have made the Flower Show an annual event since it was being held in the OLD convention center, and we have not missed a year. Not even when I was going through chemo treatment!!! It is a day for us to spend together as friends, not just mother and daughter. We both enjoy flowers and gardening, and love shopping in the Marketplace! And afterwards we always have a nice lunch or dinner, followed by a visit to Reading Terminal Market. We’d love to go this year as your guests!!!

I would just love to see this year’s show – being the Hawaii theme I know Orchids will abound and I just LOVE orchids – haven’t been able to afford to go the past few years, so this year I am going to try to get there. The flower show has such great ideas for gardening, plus a chance to see plants and flowers that don’t grow here. My 14 yr old also is wanting to test out her photography skills taking pictures. I have never been to the flower show before and all of the commercials look so appealing. Ticket prices are just so high. I can’t afford them as much as I want to go. I have come across some hard times as far as money goes. I am facing some either harder times as far as my car payments go and rent on my townhouse I rent with my sister. My sister does do much to help me with these hard times I would love to be able to take her with me to check it out.

Caryn Hetherston, one of the members of my artists’ group Trashy Women, is entering a piece of jewelry made entirely out of flower materials.
Last year she won an honorable mention.
This year I want to be there to see this fantastic artist win!
We have reservations at the hotel at the convention center! We are looking forward to spending the weekend in Philly after the turbulent year we’ve had due to the heavy rains & flooding in Middletown, PA where we live. This will be a great break after all the work we’ve had to do cleaning up after the flood.
I would love to attend the flower show with my nine year old daughter. She loves flowers and I unfortunately i do not have a green thumb to teach her how to take care of flowers. This would be a perfect chance to spend the day and show her beautiful flowers.
My husband and I would love to go again. We visited the Mardi Gras show a few years ago. I have outstanding photos of the exhibits. Its a nice day out of the house, if you have cabin fever. Were Jimmy Buffetts fan, and this seems like a perfect way to exsperience Hawaii, through the beauty of flowers.
